A combination of techniques from relaxation massage, deep tissue massage, pressure point bodywork and myofascial release therapy can be used to create a state of deep relaxation and balance. In this state, the body is able to draw on its own self-healing abilities and to rebalance and recalibrate. Mind and body are assisted to unwind and let go of what is no longer needed. This may also assist with addressing physical pain, longstanding / chronic presentations and recovery from injury.

Each treatment is tailored to your individual needs which will be discussed initially.

Therapeutic Massage 90min

This new technique takes the client on a journey deep inside their body and facilitates an unwinding of holding patterns "from the inside out". Using gentle touch and various holds, the physical body and its restrictions as well as stored memories and the consciousness certain areas are holding are worked with in a profound way. Through working within the fascial network, changes on all levels of the physical and mental being can be effected.
This technique is usually performed clothed, so non-restrictive clothing is recommended.
As this approach deeply activates the parasympathetic nervous system and supports the innate wisdom of the body to restore health, it is ideal for those suffering from anxiety, depression, chronic pain (or pain presentations that have remained unchanged despite traditional treatment approaches), brain fog, migraines, and others.

Myofascial Release Therapy 60min

During a myofascial release therapy session, you will experience a range of slower soft-tissue strokes engaging with the fascial layers, which releases adhesions in your body and creates a space of deepest relaxation. Myofascial Release Therapy addresses attachments within the body, restricted movement, structural and postural dysfunction and restrictions in the flow of energies in your system. It is highly effective for chronic pain, referred pain and restricted circulation. It is also used to work with scars and scar tissue to release physical and emotional attachments and to bring the previously disconnected areas of the body back online.

After an extended initial conversation which identifies the core concepts that will be worked with, Kath uses a variety of bodywork modalities to create a deeply grounding, centering and nurturing experience. This session is designed to realign clients with their deeper self and to provide a space for the release of what is in the way of a state of balance and health. Bodywork lasts for 60 minutes, please allow about 90 minutes for the appointment.

Holistic Bodywork 90min + conversation

Romiromi / Mirimiri

Romiromi/Mirimiri is an ancient body work modality of the Maori. It works on all levels of your being (physical, mental, ancestral, spiritual) and focuses on releasing blockages in your energy system, and at realigning your mind, body and spirit. It can help you let go of anything that no longer serves you, and of anything that is in the way of you being truly you. Working deeply in the energetic realms and transcending time and space with the support of the land and our ancestors, this type of bodywork has the capacity to assist you with mental health challenges, physical manifestations of holding patterns, trauma experiences, and facilitates emotional release.
A session lasts between 90 and 120 minutes which includes an initial conversation and the time on the table. This treatment usually takes place fully clothed so please wear something stretchy and comfortable.
Please allow for alone time for yourself afterwards to be still and to integrate the session.

Pricing for this treatment varies depending on your circumstances and the length of the session. Most people end up paying between $120 - $160 for a 1.5-2 hour session.
